Support Scuola Italiana
Why support your local Italian school? As the only Italian language and culture school for children in the Portland metro area, Scuola Italiana seeks to enrich the lives of children and their families by creating accessible and affordable language opportunities throughout the Portland Metro area. The school also has an adult language program that provides connections to and networking opportunities with the local Italian community. The adult program provides an alternative to larger college classes with smaller class sizes and more flexible programming.
Scuola Italiana strives to preserve and share Italian heritage in an authentic, dynamic, and vibrant environment that nurtures a love of Italy. The school supports the local Italian American community and serves as a valuable resource for all things Italian. Having an Italian school in Portland is very beneficial to the entire metro community, because it enhances cultural diversity, increases educational opportunities, and enriches the Portland Metro landscape.
As a small, growing school, Scuola Italiana deeply appreciates gifts to augment the school’s operating budget and support growth. These gifts are used for expenses not covered by tuition such as professional development costs, advertising expenses and new program development. Investments that are necessary to build awareness, increase attendance, and improve programs at Scuola Italiana.
We invite you – parents, teachers, grandparents, staff, Italian leaders, club members, friends and Italophiles – to work with us in creating a strong and vibrant Italian school in Portland. Please consider making a gift to Scuola Italiana di Portland today.
