We have decided to delay opening the preschool for the remainder of the 2020/21 school year. Our goal is to keep everyone and their family members safe and this is the only way we can see forward to ensure that.

In order to continue offering Italian language and culture to our students, we have planned a Virtual Preschool Experience for the remainder of the school year (through May 2021). *If you sign up for this programming, you commit to all months in order for us to compensate the teachers appropriately for their work.

There are three tiered levels of involvement – Base, Norma, Prima. The offerings are tiered to reflect your level of interest in participating, as well as what you can afford during these difficult times. The content is directed toward ages 3 through 6, but it can be helpful for multiple age levels. There is no additional charge for siblings.

The Virtual Preschool Experience – Details

Begins September 14, 2020

All offerings include three pre-recorded videos a week that you can watch anytime; a packet of Curriculum Printables (scroll to bottom of the screen to see a sample) to use in support of the monthly curriculum; and a monthly newsletter with the theme for the month, activities, and tips/tricks to support language learning.

The Base level includes these three items only.

The Norma level includes those three items and includes a book delivery service (two Italian books per month) in partnership with Liberia Pino in San Francisco with an accompanied story time, and the monthly Zoom Call social gatherings.

The Prima level includes all of the above items as well as additional Curriculum Printable pages, and pre-recorded adult education videos from Lara, our Children’s Program Director, which will help support parents with children learning a second language. This level also goes to support this preschool programming and will help us to offset any additional unexpected costs that might occur.
